- "We had noodled a pulp hero set for a while, and I did some legwork for candidates. I'm always on the lookout for female heroes, so Jill Trent was on the shortlist. The original submission for TTA was much more focused on cryptids. We tweaked it a bit to magnify the pulp angle some, and she seemed like an easy option."

- Golden Bat and Oda Nobunaga have a functionally identical card, Imposing Presence and Pragmatism respectively. When asked why they didn't just make Imposing Presence a common card, since Tales to Amaze came out before Sun's Origin, it was explained that "Sun's Origin was designed before Tales to Amaze, and Golden Bat didn't even have a 3 def cancel in his deck until very late in the process, but Tales to Amaze was released first because we needed to fit it into our release cycle AND our Kickstarter cycle."
