- Adil was primarily inspired by the story The Fisherman and the Genie when designing the character, which is a "mean" and "aggressive" interpretation of the character.

- Houdini's design saw many changes over the course of his development, with the team needing to pivot away from some of the earlier alterations that took his design space in the wrong direction.
